June 12, 2026

June has a different energy than May. May is the buildup—the transition, the first warm days, the test runs. June is when summer actually arrives and stays. School is wrapping up across Lancaster County, vacations are getting booked, weekends are filling up, and the pace of life shifts into something that feels a little more relaxed and a lot more outdoors.
At CoffeeCo Café, June is one of our favorite months. The cafés are busy in a different way: less rushed weekday energy, more weekend mornings, more iced drinks, more people stopping in for a slower start. It's the kind of month that reminds us why we love what we do.
The Iced Coffee Takeover Is Official
By June, the iced menu isn't just an option; it's the default. Cold brew, iced lattes, and iced Americanos are flying out the door, and our baristas are pulling far more cold drinks than hot ones most days. That doesn't mean hot coffee disappears entirely. Plenty of regulars still want their morning cappuccino or latte to start the day. But by mid-morning, the cups in our cafés are mostly filled with ice.
A few drinks getting extra love this month:
- Cold brew — still the easiest summer order. Smooth, naturally sweet, and never harsh.
- Iced vanilla latte — a classic for a reason. Sweet, simple, and reliable.
- Iced caramel macchiato — for when you want something that feels like a treat.
- Iced matcha or chai — bright, refreshing, and a nice change of pace from coffee.
If you haven't found your summer drink yet, June is the month to lock it in.
Slower Mornings, Longer Visits
One of the best things about June is how the rhythm of the cafés changes. Weekday mornings still have their pre-work rush, but weekends stretch out. People come in with a book, a laptop, a friend, or no plan at all. Tables fill up a little later. Conversations last a little longer.
This is the time of year when CoffeeCo really gets to be what it was meant to be: a place to actually sit and enjoy your coffee, not just grab and go. With summer schedules opening up, even a quick weekday stop tends to feel a little less hurried.
If you've been wanting to actually use the café as a workspace, a meeting spot, or a place to catch up with someone, June is a great month for it. The energy is calm, the iced coffee is flowing, and there's almost always a good seat open.
Coffee for Wherever Summer Takes You
Summer in Lancaster County means a lot of small adventures—farmers' markets, hikes, trips downtown, kids' activities, weekend drives. CoffeeCo is built to fit into all of it. With locations in Ephrata, Lancaster Shopping Center, Landisville, Lititz, Mill Creek Square, and New Holland, you're rarely far from a stop on the way to wherever you're going.
A few easy ways to build the café into your June:
- Start a Saturday with breakfast and a cold brew before the day kicks off
- Grab an iced latte on the way to Central Market or a local park
- Meet a friend mid-morning for coffee and actually take your time
- Pick up pastries for a weekend gathering or a backyard breakfast
- Try a new location you haven't been to yet — same quality, slightly different feel
Food That Holds Up in the Heat
June is when our lunch menu really shines. Fresh sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and lighter plates fit the season without feeling like you're skipping a meal. Everything is still made from scratch with the same care we've put into our food since 1983, and the menu offers plenty of options whether you want something hearty or something light.
A few pairings worth trying this month:
- An iced coffee with a fresh muffin or scone for a slower weekend morning
- A signature sandwich with iced tea for a satisfying lunch break
- A salad and a cold brew for a light midday meal
- A breakfast sandwich and iced latte for mornings on the move
Make CoffeeCo Part of Your Summer Routine
June is when summer habits really settle in. The morning stop. The weekend ritual. The drink you've decided is yours for the season. We'd love to be part of all of it.
